Now With New Update, Users Can Make A 90 Second Reel On Instagram
Pune, 3rd June 2022: Instagram has now increased the length of the reels to 90 seconds. Earlier it was fixed for only 60 seconds.
Instagram wrote in a blogpost, “We are giving you more play time on the reels by increasing the length of the reels to 90 seconds. You will have the opportunity to share more about yourself, film extra behind the scenes, delve deeper into the nuances of your content. You’ll have more time now for whatever you want to do over time.”
Meta-owned picture sharing platform also announced reel templates. The 90-second reel will give Instagram an added advantage over its rivals TikTok and Snapchat in the content creation world.
Instagram said, “Over a 60-day period, public accounts with more than 10,000 followers who posted at least five reels in 60 days got 2.5 times more followers than people in the same category who didn’t post reels.”
Instagram is also adding new sound effects to make the connected reels even more impressive.
Instagram says, “From air horns to crickets to drums and more, our refreshing collection of sound effects can help you add more humor to the reels or help your audience get into their emotions.”
Instagram said, ” Now you can import your audio directly into Instagram reels. Use the Import Audio feature to add commentary or background noise to any video on your camera roll that is at least five seconds long. Many of the interactive stickers you know and love from Instagram Stories are now available on Reel, providing more opportunities to engage with your community.”
Instagram also added that, “We recently launched templates that allow you to easily create a reel using another as a template. It also pre-installs audio and clip placeholders.”
