Pune: Considering Demand, PMPML To Run 40% Buses From Monday

Pune, 12th June 2021: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) buses will run on almost all bus routes in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad from Monday (June 14).

From 14 June 40% of buses will operate with 50% seating capacity, as per the order of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and instructions of the Chairman and Managing Director, PMPML.

From 6 June, 25% of buses with 50% passenger capacity were started for all passenger citizens. But now that the restrictions are relaxed and as per the demand of the citizens, PMPML will release 40% of buses on all routes. In Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, 655 buses have been planned on 255 bus routes from 13 depots of the corporation.

The buses running for essential services have been included in the 655 buses. The buses will run only after cleaning and disinfection to prevent the spread of Covid. It is mandatory for passengers to wear masks on the bus and follow social distancing norms. Passengers without a mask will not be allowed on the bus.
