Pune : Construction Labourer Dies After Iron Bar Of An Under Construction Building Falls On Him, Contractor Booked
Pune 12th Sept 2023: In a tragic incident reported in Manjri, a 29-year-old labourer has died after an iron bar of an under construction building fell on him. The police have booked the contractors for not providing safety gears to the workers while undertaking the work at the site.
According to police, the deceased identified as Vitthal Gadade (29) was working as a construction worker at a housing project site in Manjri. He was working on a fourth floor of the building when suddenly an iron bar fell on him due to which he was seriously injured and he was rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, the doctors declared him dead.
The deceased construction worker’s wife reached out to police to lodge a complaint in the matter and during the primary investigation it was revealed that the workers were not provided proper safety gears. The police have booked the contractor identified as Ashok Kisan Shinde (55) under relevant sections in the matter. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
