Mopendra Kumar, a resident of Mundhwa, had complained to the consumer forum against Sombir Singh, packers and movers from Chikhali. The complainant had agreed to pay Rs 8,000 for delivery of goods at Dhamtari in Chhattisgarh. The company packed the complainant’s material in nine different boxes and sent it from Pune on 17 August 2019. The material would reach Dhamtari in 4 to 6 days, he was told. But it arrived a month later and two boxes were missing.

The complainant called the company to retrieve the missing box. But it did not get the right response. So Mopedra Kumar approached the consumer forum to get the relevant box or compensation for it.

Mopendra Kumar was told that his boxes had gone to a customer in Nagpur. So when he contacted the customer in Nagpur, he said that the boxes had not reached there. He also told the complainant that his belongings were missing too.
