Pune: Contractors Fined Of Rs 2.3 Crore For Stopping 1,664 PMPML Buses Due To Sudden Strike

Pune, 5th April 2023: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited’s (PMPML) six contractors went on strike for a day and a half due to unpaid bills. The PMPML administration has fined the contractors as per the contract due to sudden strikes.

The contractors have been fined Rs 2.31 crore for stopping 1,664 buses during the strike. This amount will be recovered from the contractor’s bill. Six PMPML contractors went on strike last month. Passengers suffered a lot due to the contractors’ buses standing on the road.

PMPML served passengers through its buses. During this strike, the class 10 and class 12 exams were going on. Due to this, the students and parents had to bear a lot of inconvenience. After PMC and PCMC paid money to the PMPML, the strike was withdrawn after 30 hours.
