Pune: Course Completion Of Merged Artificer Apprentice Course XXXIII At INS Shivaji

Lonavala, 30th April 2022: 116 trainees of Merged Artificer Apprentice Course (MAAC) XXXIII Course have successfully completed professional ab-initio training of 96 weeks at INS Shivaji, the premier Marine Engineering Training Establishment of the Indian Navy. Merged Artificer Apprentice Course XXXIII includes 112 trainees of Indian Navy, three trainees of Indian Coast Guard and one International trainee from Tanzania.

 

Despite COVID-19 being prevalent on most part of their training phase, the course has undergone rigorous training on Diesel Engine, Gas Turbine, Steam Propulsion equipment and auxiliary machineries. Through Hands on training on various condition monitoring equipment & fault diagnostics, training sessions on simulators and machinery control tools, the young trainees have been transformed into adept technical professionals. The Course Completion Ceremony was held on 30 Apr 22 and was reviewed by Cmde Arvind Rawal, Commanding Officer, INS Shivaji.

 

Prashant C, U/N (ME) of Merged Artificer Apprentice Course (MAAC) XXXIII stood ‘First in the Overall Order of Merit’ by securing 83.36 % and Sachin, ERA/APP was adjudged ‘Best Sportsman’ of the Course and was awarded Commodore’s Rolling Trophy.
