Pune Court Stenographer Murders Wife in Domestic Dispute

Kharadi, 22nd January 2025: A 37-year-old court stenographer murdered his wife in a domestic dispute in Kharadi, Pune. The incident occurred around 4:30 AM earlier today in Tuljabhavani Nagar.
Shivdas Tukaram Gite, originally from Beed, was arrested by Chandan Nagar police for stabbing his 28-year-old wife, Jyoti Shivdas Gite, in the neck with a pair of scissors. The couple had been living in a rented room in Tuljabhavani Nagar and had been experiencing frequent domestic conflicts in recent days.
Neighbours, awakened by the commotion, discovered Jyoti lying in a pool of blood. She was rushed to Sassoon General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan visited the crime scene and is leading the investigation. The accused, who works as a stenographer at a local court, is now in police custody.
