Pune Crime Branch Busts Prostitution Racket At Paras Spa and Wellness Center in Kharadi
Kharadi, 17th February 2023: The Pune Crime Branch’s Social Security Cell conducted a raid on the Anand Empire building near Kharadi Bypass Chowk and busted a prostitution racket that was operating under the guise of the Paras Spa and Wellness Center.
The police received a tip-off and immediately acted on it to rescue three women who were being forced into prostitution. The team arrested Atish Shivaji Jagtap, the owner of the Paras Spa and Wellness Center, and Rasika Kantilal Sonis, aka Monika, who was allegedly managing the racket.
The police have registered an FIR at the Chandan Nagar Police Station and have started a thorough investigation into the matter. The accused, Atish Shivaji Jagtap, has been taken into custody, and the police are interrogating him to gather more information about the racket. The police are also on the lookout for other people involved in the racket.
The Crime Branch team comprising Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav, API Ashwini Patil, and police personnel Rajendra Kumawat, Ajay Rane, Manisha Pukale, Ajay Bhiwarkar, Hanmant Kamble, Irfan Pathan, Amit Jamdadre and Sandip Kolge.
