Pune: Cosmos Bank On Tilak Road Suffers Damage in Midnight Fire
Sadashiv Peth, 18th February 2023: A fire broke out in Cosmos Bank located on Tilak Road, last night. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control. The incident occurred on the ground floor of a five-storey building.
After ensuring that there were no individuals trapped inside the building, the fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire within ten minutes. Due to a significant amount of smoke, firefighters used machines to clear the area of smoke completely.
The fire caused damage to the cash counter, furniture, counting machine, computer, chairs, and other materials within the bank. The cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit.
Fire Officer Gajanan Pathrudkar, Driver Bajrang Lokhande, Dyaneshwar Khedekar, and Tandel Sanjay Jadhav, along with Jawans Nilesh Mane, Kishore Bane, and Rakesh Naiknavare were involved in extinguishing the fire. The prompt and efficient response of the firefighters helped to prevent the fire from causing further damage.
