Pune Crime Branch Seizes 28 kg Ganja Worth Rs 16.8 Lakh

Pune: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Squad 2 of Pune Crime Branch seized 28 kg of ganja worth ₹16.8 lakh and arrested two individuals in the Mundhwa area. The operation was conducted on March 11 following a tip-off received by policeman Azad Patil.
According to officials, Police Inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad, Assistant Police Inspector Nitin Kumar Naik, and their team were patrolling the Mundhwa Koregaon Park Road when they acted on information provided by policeman Azad Patil. The raid was carried out at a vacant plot owned by a person named Shah in Mundhwa, where the accused were found in possession of the contraband.
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
Pramod Sudhakar Kamble (44), a resident of Killa Ves, Karmala, Solapur.
Vishal Datta Parkhe (41), a resident of Mohan Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Pune.
A case has been registered against them at Mundhwa Police Station under FIR No. 77/2025. They have been booked under Sections 8(a), 20(b)(1)(c), and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The crackdown was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingle, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime-2) Rajendra Mulik.
The action was successfully executed by a team led by Police Inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad, along with API Nitin Kumar Naik, Police personnel Azad Patil, Mayur Suryavanshi, Sandeep Jadhav, Sandeep Shelke, Yogesh Mandhare, Yuvraj Kamble, Chetan Gaikwad, Ravindra Rokade, Dinesh Bastevad, and Disha Khewalkar.
