Pune: Crime Branch Takes Action Against Rooftop Hotel In Viman Nagar For Playing Loud Music
Viman Nagar, 16th February 2023: The Social Security Cell of Pune police’s Crime Branch has taken action against Atmosphere 6, a rooftop hotel located in Lunkad Skymax Mall, at Dutt Mandir Chowk, Vimannagar, Pune. The hotel was playing loud music beyond the permissible limits.
The officials received information about the loud sound system in the Viman Nagar area after 10 pm on February 14. Upon arrival at the hotel, they confirmed the loud music and took action against the hotel by seizing the sound system and DJ mixer. The seized sound system was worth Rs 2.1 lakh, and the hotel was found to be in violation of Rule 5 of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Act, 2000 under Act 1986. The seized material was handed over to the local Vimantal police station.
The action was taken by team comprising Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav, Assistant Police Inspector Ashwini Patil, and police personnel Rajendra Kumawat, Baba Karpe, Tushar Bhivarkar, Hanmant Kamble, Imran Nadaf, Sandeep Kolge, and Amit Jamdade.
The operation highlights the importance of enforcing laws related to noise pollution and the need for responsible behavior by citizens and establishments. Loud music can be a source of disturbance and harm to the environment, and violators must be held accountable for their actions.
