Pune Customs Seizes 51 kg Cannabis (Ganja), Two Smugglers Arrested

Pune, 19th May 2022: On the basis of a specific information regarding trafficking of ganja(cannabis), the officers of Anti-Narcotics Cell of Pune Customs intercepted one four wheeler on Jejuri Road, near Jejuri Khandoba Temple, on 17th May.

Himani Dhamija, Deputy Commissioner of Pune Customs, said, “Upon search of the said vehicle, three gunny bags were foundconcealed below the passenger seat in the vehicle. On inspection of the gunny bags, total 51 kgs (approx.) of ganja which was intended for sale in the illicit drug market, was recovered from the vehicle.

Two persons who were carrying the narcotics drug have been arrested. Further investigation is in progress.”
