Pune: Cyber Thief Robs Rs 1.52 Lakh From Woman Pretending To Sell Sukanta Thali On Facebook
Pune, 27th September 2022: After seeing an advertisement for ‘Sukanta Thali’ on Facebook, a woman tried to order it online. However, cybercriminals duped her of Rs 1.52 lakh by withdrawing the amount from the her bank account.
In this case, a 39-year-old citizen of Koregaon Park has filed a complaint. The incident took place on 27th August. The complainant’s wife saw the advertisement for ‘Sukanta Thali’ on Facebook and contacted the mobile phone number provided to buy it. The cyber thief then asked them to download an app.
Further, he asked to fill in the credit card information. Accordingly, after filling in the card details, the cyber thief took access to the mobile phone and cheated them by withdrawing the amount from their bank account. After the complaint, a case has been registered.
