8,141 Acres Of Land Reserved For Important Projects In Pune, Rs 2635.08 Crores Allocated To Affected Persons

Pune, 27th September 2022: In Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the rest of the rural areas, 10 ambitious projects are being implemented by the Central and State governments. 8,141 acres of land have been reserved for these projects, and land acquisition is being done in phases. So far, Rs 2635.08 crore has been distributed to the project-affected.

Pune-Nashik National Highway no. 60, Sant Shree Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Shree Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg, Flyover at Chandni Chowk, MahaMetro Lines One and Two, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority – PMRDA) Proposed Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar Metro Line, Pune-Miraj Railways, Baramati-Lonand New Railway Line, Pune-Nashik High-Speed Rail Line, and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) circular road are being implemented. These projects are proposed by the Central and State governments. Also, funds are being given for these projects by the Central and State governments. Accordingly, 8,141 acres of land have been reserved for these projects in the last two years, and land acquisition is being done in phases. Also, after the acquisition of land in two years, Rs 2635.08 crore has been distributed to the project victims, according to the district administration.

Meanwhile, Sant Shree Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg (National Highway No.965) will pass through 21 villages for which 136.25 hectares of land are required, and 102.05 hectares of land have been acquired so far. Rs 471.89 crores have been allocated as compensation to the project victims. Sant Shree Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg (National Highway No. 965) will pass through 39 villages, and 324.78 hectares of land are required for this project. The land has been acquired, and Rs 777.74 crores have been allocated as compensation. 100 percent land acquisition has been completed and Rs 81.48 crore has been distributed to the concerned. The district administration also said that the land has been taken over and Rs. 57.98 crores have been distributed to the concerned.
