Pune-Dadar (Mumbai) Travel Made Convenient with Launch of Electric Shivneri Buses

Pune, 19th May 2023: The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has officially launched the Electric Shivneri buses, which will operate from Pune to Dadar, Mumbai. A total of ten buses have been sanctioned for this route, with five buses assigned to the Pune Depot and five to the Mumbai Depot. These buses will run every hour from both bus stations, providing frequent and convenient transportation options for passengers.

The Electric Shivneri buses will follow the route from Pune via Aundh and Nigdi, reaching Dadar, Mumbai. There will be a total of 15 trips per day from Pune to Dadar, with a bus departing every hour. Similarly, there will be 15 trips per day from Dadar to Pune, ensuring regular connectivity between the two cities.

Passengers will have the opportunity to avail discounted tickets under various schemes such as Amrit Jyeshtha Nagarik, Jyeshtha Nagarik, Mahila Samman Yojana, and others. The e-buses have been equipped with modern facilities to enhance the comfort of the passengers. These include air conditioning, WiFi connectivity, comfortable seating, two screens, mobile charging points near each seat, individual lights for each seat, automatic doors, and six CCTV cameras for enhanced security.

The introduction of Electric Shivneri buses on the Pune-Dadar route signifies a step towards sustainable and eco-friendly transportation. It is expected to benefit commuters by providing a reliable and efficient mode of travel between the two cities.
