Pune Dagdusheth Ganpati Visarjan 2026: Shri Vakratund Rath Ready for Grand Procession

Pune, 24th September 2026: The Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandal has prepared an elaborate chariot, ‘Shri Vakratund Rath’, for this year’s Ganesh Visarjan procession in Pune.

The idol of Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati will be placed on the Shri Vakratund Rath and taken through the city as part of the immersion procession. The chariot has been decorated with intricate artwork and attractive electric illumination, continuing the tradition of creating a specially decorated rath for the annual procession.

The decorated chariot is expected to draw the attention of devotees along the procession route. Thousands of devotees participate in the Dagdusheth Ganpati immersion procession every year and gather to bid farewell to Lord Ganesha in a devotional atmosphere.

The mandal has made arrangements to showcase the grandeur of the Shri Vakratund Rath during the procession, which will form one of the key attractions of the Ganesh Visarjan celebrations in Pune.
