Pune, 21st June 2023: Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple is a place of worship for many devotees. Along with the five revered Ganpati (Manache Ganpati), devotees are also curious about the Dagdusheth Ganpati and its decoration in every Ganeshotsav.

This year, when Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Public Ganpati Trust is entering its 131st year, the trust has decided to construct a replica of the lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya for this year’s Ganeshotsav celebration. The Trust’s Chairman, Manik Chavan, gave this information in a press conference.

On this occasion, Chavan said that the replica of the temple will be 125 feet long, 50 feet wide, and 100 feet high. After that, painting will be done using materials like wood, batum, plywood, etc. Also, lights will be installed on it in the last stage. The replica will have 24 pillars and 24 arches. The main dome of the temple is more than 100 feet tall, and the temple will be around 108 feet tall, including the flag. Apart from this, he said that the temple will have 11 small and big pinnacles.

He also added that in the main hall, Shri Ganaraya’s Makhar will be in shades of gold and will have ornate arches around it. A review of the events of the Ramayana will be presented in the form of pictures and writing on the temple premises and on the route. An imaginary Ram Setu will be erected while entering from Belbagh Chowk. Devotees can enter the temple from there, which will also be this year’s attraction. Apart from the replicas of Lord Shri Ram and Shri Hanuman, the replicas of Vanarsena at the entrance will also be eye-catching.

100 craftsmen will be working day and night for 75 consecutive days in the decoration department. After that, the replica of the temple will be built in fibre and painted. The design of the pillars in the main hall is being made more loose, and this will make it possible for the devotees to have darshan of Ganpati Bappa easily, even from a distance. He said that the work of the temple will be done by the art director, Aman Vidhate; the lighting work will be done by Waikar Bandhu; and the pavilion arrangement will be done by Kale Mandavwale.
