New Delhi, 21st June 2023: The Indian Army has recently launched the online application portal for the enlistment of unmarried male and female engineering graduates, as well as widows of deceased personnel of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel, for the SSC Tech 2023 exam. The deadline for application submission is July 20, 2023. Furthermore, the JAG course will be open for application submissions starting from June 22nd until July 21st. Similarly, the NCC Special Entry Scheme course will accept applications during the same period, starting from June 22nd to August 3.

Candidates applying for the 62nd SSC Tech (Men) and 33rd SSC Tech (Women) Courses in the Indian Army must possess an engineering degree as of April 2024. Students in their senior year are also eligible to apply, but they must provide their degree within 12 weeks from the start date of the training. The selection process involves shortlisting candidates based on their engineering degree marks, followed by an SSB interview, which is a mandatory five-day interview.

JAG Course: To join the Indian Army through the Judge Advocate General (JAG) course, candidates must have completed LLB with a minimum of 55% grade point and must be registered as an advocate with the Bar Council of India.

The age requirement for JAG candidates is a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 27 years. Once accepted into the JAG program, candidates will undergo 49 weeks of training at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai.

NCC Special Entry Scheme: Candidates need to hold a C certificate with at least a B grade for the NCC Special Entry Scheme course. They should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum grade point average of 50%.
