Pune: Daund and Kirloskarvadi to Get Vande Bharat Stops from November 2025

Pune, 28th October 2025: Indian Railways has approved two new stoppages for Vande Bharat Express trains on an experimental basis from November 2025. The Ministry of Railways, through an official order issued by the Railway Board, directed that these halts be introduced and monitored for passenger response and ticket sales.
As per the notification, Train No. 20669/20670 Hubballi–Pune Vande Bharat Express will now halt at Kirloskarvadi station, while Train No. 22225/22226 CSMT–Solapur Vande Bharat Express will get a new stop at Daund station. Both stoppages will come into effect from an early convenient date in November 2025.
Railway officials have been instructed to ensure wide publicity of the new halts and closely review ticket sales from the added stations. The initiative aims to assess passenger demand and travel patterns for future inclusion on a permanent basis.
Currently, the Hubballi–Pune Vande Bharat Express (20669) departs from Hubballi at 05:00 hrs and reaches Pune at 13:30 hrs, halting at Dharwad, Belagavi, Ghatprabha, Miraj, Sangli, and Satara. The return train (20670) leaves Pune at 14:15 hrs and arrives in Hubballi at 22:45 hrs.
The CSMT–Solapur Vande Bharat Express (22225) departs from Mumbai CSMT at 16:05 hrs and reaches Solapur at 22:40 hrs, while the return (22226) leaves Solapur at 06:05 hrs and arrives at Mumbai CSMT at 12:35 hrs. Presently, it halts at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Pune, and Kurduwadi.
The new Kirloskarvadi and Daund stoppages are being introduced on a trial basis, with their continuation dependent on passenger response and operational feasibility.
