Pune, 18th March 2026: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Pune District Guardian Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar on Tuesday paid tributes to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj on the occasion of his 337th Balidan Smruti Din (martyrdom anniversary).

Pawar visited the samadhi of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj at Shri Kshetra Vadhu Budruk and offered floral tributes. She also paid respects at the martyrdom site of the Maratha warrior king at Shri Kshetra Tulapur.

Several public representatives and officials were present on the occasion, including MLAs Dnyaneshwar Katke and Bapusaheb Pathare, Zilla Parishad members Kiran Sakore and Monika Hargude, members of the Panchayat Samiti, Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Gajanan Patil, Additional CEO Chandrakant Waghmare, Sub-Divisional Officer Yashwant Mane, Additional Tehsildar Tripti Kolte, Shirur Tehsildar Balasaheb Mhaske, Vadhu Budruk Sarpanch Krishna Argade, and Tulapur Administrator Sarpanch Adv. Gunfa Ingale, among others.

During the visit, Pawar also participated in the Mukjyot Padyatra organised at Tulapur to mark the martyrdom anniversary, walking alongside local residents. She later visited the Sangam site in Tulapur and offered prayers at the Sangameshwar temple.

The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed ongoing development works related to the martyrdom site at Tulapur, the Tulapur memorial, and the samadhi site at Vadhu Budruk. She instructed officials to ensure that all works are completed on time while maintaining high quality standards.
