Pune: Defamation Of Doctor’s Wife On Social Media, Fake Facebook Account Opened By Husband
Pune, 24th November 2022: Within three months of marriage, a young doctor was subjected to domestic harassment by her engineer husband. Her husband defamed her and her mother on social media while she lived with her parents due to harassment.
In this regard, a case has been registered against the husband at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station under Pune city police.
A case of domestic harassment has been registered against Kishor Lage, a resident of Sangamner, Ahmednagar, based on a complaint filed by the 28-year-old female doctor.
According to the information given by the police, the complainant was married in January 2021. The husband was constantly suspicious. He was threatening to kill the complainant if she did not quit her job.
He was also defaming her in front of her friend. Hence, the complainant left home and started living with her parents. Meanwhile, Kishor opened a fake Facebook account of the complainant and her mother and started defaming them on social media.
As soon as the complainant learnt about this, she lodged a complaint with the police. Police inspector Vijay Puranik is investigating the matter further.
