Pune-Delhi Bi-Weekly AC Special Train Announced; Bookings Open September 28
Pune, 25th September 2025: To handle the surge of passengers during Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivities, the Pune Division of Central Railway has announced a bi-weekly AC special train between Pune and Hazrat Nizamuddin (Delhi). The service will operate on a “Train on Demand” (TOD) basis at 1.3 times the normal fare.
Train Schedule
Train No. 01493 Pune–Hazrat Nizamuddin AC Special: Departs Pune at 17:30 hrs every Monday and Thursday; arrives Hazrat Nizamuddin at 20:00 hrs the next day. Runs from October 6 to November 13, 2025 (12 trips).
Train No. 01494 Hazrat Nizamuddin–Pune AC Special: Departs Hazrat Nizamuddin at 21:25 hrs every Tuesday and Friday; arrives Pune at 23:55 hrs the next day. Runs from October 7 to November 14, 2025 (12 trips).
Coach Composition
The special train will run with 18 LHB coaches, comprising:
16 AC 3-Tier coaches
2 Brake Van including Generator Cars
Halts
The train will halt at Lonavala, Kalyan, Bhiwandi Road, Vasai Road, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Vadodara, Godhra, Ratlam, Shamgarh, Bhawani Mandi, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bharatpur, and Mathura Junction.

Bookings for Train No. 01493 will open on September 28, 2025, at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and through the IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in).
