Pimpri, 30th September 2022: After the death of a 27-year-old dentist in an accident, her father and husband took the initiative to find the accused after seeing the cold response from the police. Instead of relying on the police, they started searching for the vehicle that caused the accident.
After the accident, they checked more than 100 CCTVs to trace the fleeing vehicle. They found the number of the vehicle that caused the accident in just eight days.
The young doctor who died in the accident has been identified as Jesha Rimin Kuriakos (27), a resident of Nehrunagar, Pimpri. Her husband Rimin Kuriakos has filed a complaint at the Bhosari MIDC police station. The accident took place on September 12 afternoon on the Telco road in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Jesha was going home from the hospital on a bike. At that time a truck suddenly came on the road at high speed and its wheel hit Jesha’s bike. She died on the spot.
Dr Jesha and businessman Rimin got married a year ago. Both the families were shocked by the death of Jesha, who was a dentist. The truck driver had left without stopping. Neither his whereabouts nor the registration number of the vehicle were found. Due to this, Dr Jesha’s father, John Thomas who is an officer in the railway came to Pimpri-Chinchwad on September 21 with his son-in-law.
Dr Jesha’s father Thomas, husband Rimin and others went to Bhosari MIDC police station and met investigating officer sub-inspector Navnath Chapale. However, they were told that the truck and its driver were not found.
Hence, Thomas and Rimin went out with the family to find the truck driver responsible for her death. They obtained the CCTV footage in front of HDFC Bank on Telco Road where the accident took place. Then it was seen that the truck of the S K transport company fled the scene after the accident.
