Pune: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Sports Minister Sanjay Bansode Pay Tribute at Historic Vijay Stambha

Koregaon Bhima, 1st January 2024: Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar and Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Sanjay Bansode commenced the day with a heartfelt salute to the historic Vijaystambha (Victory Pillar) at Perne Phata in the morning.

The event was attended by prominent officials, including District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Director General of BARTI Sunil Vare, Joint Commissioner of Police Ramnath Pokle, Additional Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Arvind Chawria, Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Ankit Goyal, and Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Chavan.

Deputy CM Pawar took a moment to acknowledge the commendable arrangements made by the district administration for the felicitation ceremony at the Victory Pillar. Collector Dr Deshmukh was felicitated for his role in ensuring the success of the event.

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Bansode inaugurated a book exhibition on the centenary anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s ‘The Problem of Rupee,’ organized by BARTI. The exhibition aims to showcase the intellectual contributions of Dr. Ambedkar and his influence on economic thought.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Director General of BARTI Sunil Vare, Pune Zilla Parishad CEO Ramesh Chavan, Joint Secretary of Department of Social Justice and Empowerment Dinesh Digale, Additional Commissioner Dinesh Dhoke, Regional Deputy Commissioner of Department of Social Justice and Empowerment Balasaheb Solanki, Assistant Commissioner Vishal Londhe, District Social Welfare Officer Praveen Korgantiwar, Deputy Commissioner Ravindra Kadam Patil, Deputy Commissioner Vrushali Shinde, and others.

The book exhibition holds particular significance as it marks the centenary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s influential work, contributing to economic discourse. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the intellectual legacy of Dr. Ambedkar through the curated display.
