Pune: Dhangekar Vows to Continue Fight Against Minister Mohol Despite Political Cost
Pune, 25th October 2025: Former MLA Ravindra Dhangekar has once again targeted Union Minister and BJP MP Murlidhar Mohol, stating that he is ready to pay any political price for his ongoing battle. Dhangekar said his fight will continue until the Jain temple issue in Pune is resolved and the temple stands “with full dignity.”
In a post on social media today, Dhangekar countered Mohol’s statement from Friday, in which the minister had claimed that no criminal cases were registered against him. Dhangekar alleged that several cases are indeed registered against Mohol and said he had shared the related documents on Twitter. “Yesterday, Mohol said there are no cases against him, but his own election affidavit shows five to six cases. I have tweeted those documents now,” Dhangekar said.
The former MLA further accused Mohol of siding with builders in the controversial Jain Boarding, Model Colony, land matter. “Even if Mohol denies his role, people of Pune understand his loyalty lies with builders. The same Jain community that gave him huge support is now being ignored by him,” Dhangekar remarked.
When asked about reports that Minister Mohol recently met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Dhangekar said, “The Chief Minister is a wise and experienced leader who understands Maharashtra’s sentiments. He will not allow injustice to the Jain community. I am confident he will take action soon.”
Concluding his statement, Dhangekar said, “All of Pune stands with me in this fight. I have prepared myself for any political consequences, but I will not stop until justice is done.”
