Pune District: 10,907 New COVID Cases, 62 Deaths Reported Today

Pune, 07 April 2021: A total of 10,907 fresh Coronavirus disease (COVID19) positive cases were reported today in the Pune district. Also, 7832 patients got discharged from hospitals while 62 people died today.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that to date the total number of COVID cases has reached 6,04,037. Out of this, 5,09,278 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals, while 10,402 people have died. There are about 84,526 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals and in-home isolation. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 31,07,642 people have been tested in the district.
The 6,04,037 patients include 3,05,372 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area; 1,58,768 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC); 9730 from Cantonment areas; 1,00,778 are from Rural areas, and 29,389 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
