Pune District: 7090 New COVID Cases, 37 Deaths Reported Today

Pune, 26 March 2021: A total of 7090 fresh Coronavirus disease (COVID19) positive cases were reported today in the Pune district. Also, 3756 patients got discharged from hospitals while 37 people died today.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that to date the total number of COVID cases has reached 4,99,784. Out of this, 4,37,185 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals, while 9,761 people have died. There are about 53,008 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals and in-home isolation. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 27,58,630 people have been tested in the district.
The 4,99,784 patients include 2,51,223 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area; 1,30,572 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC); 8252 from Cantonment areas; 85,061 are from Rural areas, and 24,676 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
