Pune District Completed More Than 10 Lakh COVID Tests
Pune, Sep 19, 2020: With the addition of 4093 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 244,516, in Pune district. Also, 3788 patients got discharged from hospitals while 85 people died.
Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 244,516 patients 1,96,559 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 5536 people have died. There are still 42,426 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 42,426, 17,795 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 10,22,245 people have been tested in the district.
The 244,516 patients include, 128,423 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 68,439 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 4808 from Cantonment areas, 32,912 are from Rural areas, and 9934 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,308,014 across the country. Out of this, 4,208,431 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 85,619 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 10,139,64 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
