Pune District Gets 4311 Remdesivir Injections, Distributed In 300 Hospitals

Pune, 17th April 2021: As the administration is facing outrage from relatives of the patients over the shortage of Remdesivir injections, continuous efforts have been made by the Pune district administration for the availability of the injection. These efforts got successful as the supply of 4311 Remdesivir injections was provided for the Pune district on Friday.

District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh said, “The district received a supply of 4311 Remidisivir vials on Friday (16th April). These injections have been given to 300 hospitals in Pune city, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and rural areas.”

He added, “The hospital is requested to collect the injection vials according to their requirements from the medical supplies, by providing detailed information on the letterhead of the hospital. The district administration also asked the FDA, municipal corporations of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, Zila Parishad and Nagar panchayat, and concerned officers of the hospital’s administration to ensure proper supply and use of the injection.”

This supply of injections will provide relief for the patients and their relatives who are struggling to get an injection. There is a huge shortage of injections which resulted in anger and panic among the relatives of the patients.
