Pune District Reports 636 New COVID Cases Today, 1381 Discharged

Pune, 21 June 2021: A total of 636 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 1381 people were discharged from hospitals. 22 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

 

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8819 active patients in the district and 5561 of them are admitted in hospitals while 3258 are in home isolation. Out of 636 new cases, 136 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 151 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 56 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 3 in cantonments and 290 in rural areas.

 

Among the 22 deaths, six were in PMC, four in PCMC, three in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad),  1 in cantonments and eight in rural areas. Out of 1381 discharged patients, 223 were in PMC, 104 were in PCMC, 198 in municipal councils, 4 in cantonments, and 852 in rural areas.
