Pune Division registers ticket checking revenue of Rs 8.22 Cr in Apr-June 2023
Pune, 3rd July 2023: Pune Division conducts intensive ticket checking in Suburban, Mail Express, Passenger services, and special trains across all divisions to curb ticketless and irregular travel in order to provide comfortable travel and better services to all bonafide rail users. Senior Officers are closely monitoring the revenue loss due to ticketless travel and such other irregularities.
During the current FY 2022-23 (Apr-June 2023), a total of 1.05 lakh cases of ticketless/irregular travel and un-booked luggage were detected in the month of June 2023, ticket checking revenue was ₹2.65 Crore from 34018 cases of irregular /ticketless and unbooked luggage.
Central Railway Registers Ticket Checking Revenue Of Rs 94.04 Cr in Apr-June 2023
The revenue realized from such ticketless/irregular travel is ₹8.22 crore for the period from Apr-June 2023 i.e 40.5% more than proportionate target.
Pune Division appeals to the passengers to travel with proper and valid railway tickets in order to avoid inconvenience and travel with dignity.
