Pune: Congress Party Calls For Sedition Charges Against DRDO Scientist Kurulkar, Protest Outside ATS Office

Shivajinagar, 3rd July 2023: The former Director of DRDO lab in Pune, Senior Scientist Dr Pradeep Kurulkar, is facing serious allegations of providing confidential information to the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.

Maharashtra State Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) recently filed a comprehensive 1,835-page charge sheet against him in a special court. However, the charge sheet did not include any charges of sedition, leading to a protest organized by the Pune City Congress Party outside the Pune ATS office.

The demonstration was spearheaded by Mohan Joshi, the state vice president of the Congress party, and MLA Ravindra Dhangekar. During the protest, MLA Ravindra Dhangekar expressed his disappointment that despite Kurulkar’s alleged betrayal of the country by sharing classified information with Pakistan’s ISI, no sedition charges were brought against him. This has left the public, including the Congress party members, perplexed. In light of this, they demand the immediate registration of a case of sedition against Kurulkar. The protesters called upon the ATS to address their demand promptly, warning of a mass movement if necessary.
