Pune: Diwali Spirit Dims as Thieves Target Shops on FC and JM Roads
Shivajinagar, 31st October 2024: The festival of Diwali is currently being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. Meanwhile, in Pune, a case of theft has come to light. Amid the excitement of Diwali, it has been reported that thieves broke into clothing, ice cream, and shoe shops on Fergusson College Road (FC Road) and Jangali Maharaj Road (JM Road), which are at the heart of Pune City.
According to Police Reports, a total of five shops on these major roads have been targeted, and the thieves have made off with an estimated 1.25 lakh rupees. The Pune Police’s Crime Branch teams, along with the Detection Branch (DB) of Deccan Police Station, are investigating the crime. The police suspect that the theft was committed by notorious criminals.
