Pune: Doctor Robbed By Cybercriminals After Being Threatened With Obscene Video
Pune, 2nd May 2023: A female doctor in Pune was robbed of Rs 21,000 after being threatened by cybercriminals who sent her an obscene video. The doctor, who works at a private hospital on the Pune-Satara road, received the video from a young woman via social media.
After taking a screenshot, the cybercriminals threatened to circulate the video on social media unless the doctor paid them Rs 21,000 online immediately.
Feeling threatened, the doctor paid the money and then lodged a complaint with the police. The case is now being investigated by Police Inspector Sawant.
