Pune, 30 April 2021: Pune Doctors association has appealed to the State Government to ensure that the flow of medicines and oxygen remain uninterrupted.

Appealing through a letter, the association said, “the entire medical fraternity has been working day and night for the Covid-19 patients. But for over a fortnight now the inadequate supply of medicines especially the Remdesivir injection and oxygen cylinders have created immense difficulties”.

“Majority of times, the patients come to the hospital or covid centres at the last stage. Relatives force us to admit the patient with or without an oxygen bed. Due to lack of these medical treatments, the patient dies and then the hospital and the doctors are blamed for it”, it mentioned.

“We cannot work without help and cooperation from the administration and thus we appeal to ensure that there is an adequate and regular supply of medical equipment, medicines and other required material”, the letter mentioned further.
