Pune, 2nd December 2022: Due to dry weather conditions, the drizzle has again occurred in Maharashtra. However, in the next three days, the weather department has predicted that the temperature will increase again. In the third week of November, the state experienced a severe cold wave. The minimum temperature everywhere was considerably lower than in Sarsari (Rajasthan). However, a low-pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal and subsequently in the Arabian Sea. Due to the supply of steam from the sea, monsoon conditions developed in some southern states, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu. In most parts of the state, mainly Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra, the temperature went above average, and the cold weather disappeared. The night was hot. Since the last two days, again, with clear skies and dry weather conditions, the minimum temperature has decreased to some extent with light dew.

On Thursday (December 1), Aurangabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 10.8 degrees Celsius. Temperatures are below average in other parts of Marathwada as well. Madhya Maharashtra, Pune, Kolhapur, Solapur, Sangli, and other surrounding areas have drizzle. Temperatures in the Konkan region, including Mumbai, are close to average. As the night minimum temperature is below average at almost all places in Vidarbha, there is light dew at night as well. However, in two to three days, there is a possibility of a temperature increase of two to three degrees, mainly in Madhya Maharashtra.

However, due to the clear sky condition, most of the areas are also feeling the scorching sun during the day. Mumbai’s Santacruz centre recorded a maximum temperature of 35.2 degrees Celsius on Wednesday (November 30). This temperature became the highest temperature in the country on this day. On Thursday, however, it decreased by about two degrees. Ratnagiri recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 35.0 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
