Pune: Drug Dealer Arrested By Anti-Narcotics Cell In Camp Area

Camp, 30th June 2022: The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Pune Police Crime Branch has arrested a drug dealer and has seized MD (Mephedrone) worth Rs 1.37 lakh.
The accused was identified as Mohammad Ibrahim Tohid Syed (23) from Kondhwa, and a case was filed against him at the Lashkar Police Station.
The Anti-Narcotics Cell is trying to curb the smuggling of marijuana and other drugs in the city. After getting the information about a person smuggling Mephedrone at the MG road, near 15th August Chowk, a ‘decoy customer’ was sent to Syed to confirm it. Subsequently, under the guidance of ACP Gajanan Tompe, the Anti-Narcotics Cell set up a trap in the area and caught Syed.
