Pune: Drug Peddler Arrested In Bavdhan With 1 kg Cannabis
Bavdhan, 16 February 2022: The officials from the anti-narcotics cell of the Pimpri Chinchwad police arrested a drug peddler in Bavdhan on February 14 and recovered one kilogram marijuana (ganja) from his possession.
A case has been registered against the accused Kedar Lahanu (35) of Bavdhan at Hinjawadi police station for offences under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
According to police, Lahanu had purchased cannabis from one Raju Sonawane. He has been also booked in the case.
Police had received the information about Lahanu supplying and selling drugs to the citizens from Nageshwar tea and snacks centre in Bavdhan. After raiding the shop, police recovered one kg cannabis worth Rs 23,825.
Assistant police inspector Ram Gomare is further investigating the case.
