Pune: E-Waste Collection Campaign To Be Implemented In Pimpri-Chinchwad
Pimpri-Chinchwad, 1st March 2023: The E-waste collection campaign will be implemented in Pimpri-Chinchwad city throughout the year. Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh informed that hazardous waste will be collected, recycled or disposed of scientifically.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the e-waste collection van at the E-Waste Center in Bhosari of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). Additional Commissioner Jitendra Wagh, Civil Engineer Sanjay Kulkarni, Head of Information and Public Relations Ravikiran Ghodke, Assistant Commissioner Anna Bodde, Vinita Date of ECA, Green Scape Head Dr Rupesh Kadam along with Asha Rao, Natasha Gangal, and Hiraman Bhujbal were present.
The work of e-waste recycling and plastic recycling cum hobby centre was started in collaboration with PCMC, GreenScape, and ECA. Commissioner Singh explained the outline of this activity and gave suggestions. He said that after its implementation, a permanent year-round e-waste collection campaign will be implemented in the entire city soon.
