Pune: Electronic Device And Mobile Phone Seized From Aspirant In BRO Recruitment Exam
Pune 1st July 2023: The Pune City Police have arrested an aspirant caught for copying in a recruitment exam of Border Road Organisation (BRO). The accused identified as Deepchand Karambir (25), a resident of Hisar district of Haryana was caught by the BRO officials in possession of an electronic device for copy in the exam.
The Border Road Organisation conducted a recruitment exam for the post of Vehicle Mechanic at BRO School in Dhanori on June 30 between 8 am and 11 am. The accused according to the police had hidden an electronic device in his pen and his mobile phone was hidden in underwear. He was trying to write the exam using an electronic device hidden inside his pen, said police.
An assistant admin officer of BRO has lodged a complaint with police in the matter following which a case has been registered at Vishrantwadi police station under sections 420 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police are investigating further in the matter.
