Pune: Employee Assaults Boss and Damages iPhone after being removed from WhatsApp Group
Chandan Nagar, 8th December 2023: A workplace dispute in the Chandan Nagar area of Pune took a violent turn when an aggrieved employee allegedly assaulted a company official with a bamboo and damaged the official’s expensive iPhone. The incident occurred after the employee was removed from a company WhatsApp group due to numerous customer complaints against him.
The accused, identified as Satyam Shingvi, was reportedly employed at a private company, where several customer complaints had been lodged against him. In response, the company officials removed him from the WhatsApp group, which reportedly infuriated Shingvi. In an act of retaliation, he allegedly assaulted the complainant with bamboo and damaged his iPhone during the altercation.
A case has been registered against Satyam Shingvi at the Chandan Nagar Police Station. The complainant had attempted to address the issues with Shingvi by calling him to explain the customer complaints. However, when the accused did not respond to the call, he was removed from the WhatsApp group, triggering the violent confrontation.
