Pune Entrepreneurs Invited to Apply for District Awards 2023-2024; Deadline December 31

Pune, 19th December 2024: The State Government has announced the District Awards 2023 and District Awards 2024 to recognize and honour small entrepreneurs for their exceptional contributions to the industrial sector in Pune district. Eligible small entrepreneurs are invited to submit their applications by December 31, 2024, as per an appeal made by the District Industries Centre, Pune.

The District Award includes a cash prize of ₹15,000 for the first position and ₹10,000 for the second position, along with a certificate of merit. Eligible enterprises must meet the following criteria:
Registered as a permanent small enterprise with the Directorate of Industries for at least three years (registration before January 1, 2020).
Engaged in continuous production for the last two years.
Not a bank defaulter of any institution.

Applications are available free of cost at the District Industries Centre, located at the Agriculture College campus in Shivajinagar, Pune. In addition to the awards, the State Government is actively promoting exports through various incentive schemes for industries. The District Industries Centre recently took the initiative to raise awareness about these schemes by engaging directly with entrepreneurs in Pune’s industrial hubs.

A workshop titled ‘Maharashtra Export Convention 2024-25’ was organized at Gabriel India Company in the Chakan industrial area. The event was attended by several prominent officials, including Joint Director of Industries Shailesh Rajput, Joint Development Commissioner Mittal Hiremath, Sandeep Batwal from the Indian Postal Department, Rishi Mishra from the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), Sunita Sawant from Apeda, Pratap Singh Bhadra from the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), and General Manager of the District Industries Centre Vrushali Sone.

The workshop provided valuable insights into export-related schemes and incentives, enabling entrepreneurs to enhance their export capabilities.
