Pune: EPFO To Conduct Webinars And Workshops To Create Awareness About Social Security Benefits At Akurdi
Pune, 30th September 2022: The EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation) Regional Office, Akurdi Pune II, will be conducting webinars, awareness programmes, and other activities related to creating awareness and delivering necessary information in respect of the social security benefits available under the EPF and MP Act, 1952 and the Schemes with the Construction workers. The organisation has requested members to join the campaign and avail themselves of the benefit of the social security scheme, which is run under the roof of EPFO to enhance the future prospective.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation administers the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 and the Schemes framed there under. These acts and schemes aim to provide social security in the form of Provident Fund, Pension and Insurance to all the employees who are employed for wages in any kind of work (manual or otherwise), in or in connection with the work of an establishment, and who get wages directly or indirectly from the employer, including those employed by or through a contractor in or in connection with the work of the establishments.
As per instructions received from the Head Office regarding creating awareness about the coverage of construction workers under the fold of EPF & MP Act, 1952, these awareness programs will be held.
