Pune: Ex-Karnataka Minister’s Son Granted Bail Along with Others in Vaishnavi Hagawane Case

Pune, 27th May 2025: Five individuals, arrested in connection with the Vaishnavi Hagawane case, have been granted bail by a Pune court. The accused were detained for allegedly assisting Rajendra Hagawane and Sushil Hagawane in evading the law following Vaishnavi’s death.

Initially, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police sought police custody, but the court remanded the accused to judicial custody. Later, the court granted them bail.

Among those granted bail is Pritam Patil, son of former Karnataka Cabinet Energy Minister Veer Kumar Patil. The other four granted bail include Mohan Bhegade (60, Vadgaon Maval), Bandu Phatak (55, Lonavala), Amol Jadhav (35, Satara), and Rahul Jadhav (45, Satara).

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Vishal Gaikwad confirmed that although judicial custody was initially ordered, the court subsequently approved their bail.
