Pune: Extra PMPML Buses To Run On Occasion Of Raksha Bandhan

Pune, 9th August 2022: On the occasion of Rakshabandhan festival, extra buses have been planned by Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML). It will benefit the passengers of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad and one thousand 809 buses will be made available on the routes of both cities on the day of Rakshabandhan.

A large number of passengers travel by PMPML on Rakshabandhan day every year. For this, a total of 1,809 buses including 54 buses will run on Thursday (August 11) in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad cities in addition to the 1,755 buses that are in daily operation.

 

These buses will be released mainly from the crowded bus stand at Katraj, Chinchwad Gaon, Nigdi, Saswad, Hadapsar, Varwand, Wagholi, Jejuri, Alandi, Talegaon, Bhosari, Ranjangaon, Rajgurunagar and Dehugaon.

 

Weekly holidays of conductors, drivers, and supervisory servants have been cancelled as excess buses will be released. Officers have been appointed to control bus traffic at important stations in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Other officers and staff are also given responsibility for guiding passengers and controlling traffic at important stations and bus stand to assist passengers.
