Pune, 8th January 2023: After the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) malpractice, it has now come to light that the no-objection certificates of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools are fake. The no-objection certificates of many schools in Pune have been revealed to be fake, and a gang has been exposed that took Rs 12 lakh and gave fake documents. It is suspected that there will be many such schools across Maharashtra.

To get the affiliation of other boards in the state apart from the state board, the management must get a no-objection certificate from the state government. However, it was noticed by the school education department that some schools in Pune were started even though such certificates were not given to them.

Accordingly, the school education department ordered the deputy director of education in the state to investigate the three schools concerned and file a police complaint against the unknown persons. Accordingly, Pune Divisional Deputy Director of Education Audumbar Ukirde directed the Pune Zilla Parishad to investigate.

In this background, the Extension Officer of Pune Zilla Parishad KD Bhujbal conducted an inquiry and found out that the no-objection certificates of many schools were fake. Names and forged signatures of high-ranking officials in the Mantralaya, the administrative headquarters of the Government of Maharashtra in Mumbai, have been used for fake no-objection certificates. Also, it has been revealed through WhatsApp chat that lakhs of rupees have been exchanged for these fake no-objection certificates. The no-objection certificates of some schools in Mumbai have also been revealed to be fake. A detailed report of the investigation of this case will be submitted.

“The Mantralaya had informed about investigating three schools in Pune, namely MP International School and Junior College in Shivajinagar, Namo RIMS international school and junior college and Creative Educational Society’s public school and junior college. Accordingly, after enquiry, two schools said they received the approval certificate without sending the proposal. Zilla Parishad has investigated ten more schools. The report of that inquiry will be filed on Monday. It will reveal more details,” Ukirde informed.
