Pune: Fake Journalist Arrested For Cheating Woman

Pune, 8th May 2023: Loni Kalbhor police arrested a fake journalist who extorted Rs 91,000 from a woman to get her school leave certificate. The arrested fake journalist has been identified as Hanumant Rajkumar Survase, resident of Malimala, Loni Kalbhor, Solapur Road. A woman has filed a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police station.

Survase has a YouTube channel called Maharashtra Express News Network. A woman did not pay her child’s school fees during the Corona pandemic. The financial situation of the woman was not so good. The woman then approached Survase for help. The woman had decided to remove the child from school. However, the certificate was not issued by the school. Then Survase demanded Rs one lakh from the woman claiming to be an acquaintance of the school.

He took Rs 91,000 from the woman from time to time in cash and online form. The certificate was still not given to the woman. When Suravse asked about the same he stated that he is a journalist and saying that if she files a police complaint against him.

In the complaint, the woman said that Survase molested her. Survase was arrested after the woman complained to the police. A case of molestation and cheating was registered against him.

Under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Dattatray Chavan, Crime Branch Inspector Subhash Kale, Sub-Inspector Pramod Hambir, Sub-Inspector Vaibhav More, Santosh Rathod, etc carried out the said operation.
