Pune: Family Court Starts Functioning In Two Shifts

Pune, September 22, 2020: Family Court has started in two shifts from Monday (21 September). All the five courts are in operation, with three in the morning shifts and two in the afternoon shifts.

COVID pandemic had affected court proceedings from the last six months and now it has started in two shifts. Hearing of important cases was not stopped, they are going on from March. The court had begun in two shifts in early June, again the work was done in one shift, which has now again started in two shifts.

Adv Vaishali Chandane, president of Family Court Advocates’ Association, appealed everyone to follow the health norms and maintain rules while proceedings. Everyone should wear a face mask, use sanitizers and follow social distancing rules.

The cases like alimony, child custody, visitation cases, divorce cases by mutual consent reports are made. The interim applications hearing is held directly or in writing. The hearing is being conducted through video conferencing.
