Pune: Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident Claims Life of Pedestrian on Alandi Dehu Road
Moshi, 21st October 2023: Tragedy struck on Thursday night around 11:15 PM when a pedestrian lost their life in a hit-and-run incident on Alandi Dehu Road, opposite Jai Ganesh Lawns in Moshi. The victim has been identified as Arun Shankar Patil, aged 38.
Manik Dilip Patil, a 36-year-old resident of Chakan, filed a formal complaint regarding the incident at the MIDC Bhosari police station. In response to the complaint, authorities have registered a case against the unidentified driver responsible for the accident.
According to the police report, the incident unfolded as Arun Patil, the cousin of the complainant, was crossing the road in front of Ganesh Lawns in Moshi, situated on Alandi Dehu Road. At that moment, an unidentified vehicle, driven by an unknown individual, struck Arun Patil. As a result of the collision, Arun Patil sustained a severe head injury, ultimately proving fatal.
The MIDC Bhosari police have initiated an investigation into the incident to identify the hit-and-run driver and hold them accountable for their actions.
