Pune: Finally PMC Releases Revised Guidelines For Shops, Malls, Restaurants, Gyms Etc; Know Their Timings

Pune, 8th August 2021: After the Maharashtra state government allowed relaxation in lockdown restrictions, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has now issued a revised order for shops, malls, restaurants, gyms etc.

 

PMC Additional Commissioner Ravindra Binwade has issued the order on behalf of Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar. This order will be applicable in Khadki and Pune cantonment areas also from Monday (August 9).

 

According to the order, now shops can remain open from 7 am to 8 pm on all days except weekly off. All restaurants, hotels, foodcourts will be allowed to open till 10 pm on all days for dining with 50% capacity and home delivery will be allowed till 11 pm.

 

Malls will also reopen but only those people will be allowed entry who have taken both doses of Covid vaccine. Also, employees of shops there will have to undergo Covid test every 15 days. The employees are also required to take two doses of the vaccine.

 

All gardens will open from 6 am to 10 am and from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Except swimming and close contact games, all other sports activities have been allowed.

All schools, colleges will remain closed for regular classes. Online classes will continue.

Competitive exams training centres/coaching classes can conduct classes till 8 pm with 50% capacity. The trainees and trainers are required to take atleast one dose of Covid vaccine for attending the classes.

Gyms, spa, salon, beauty parlour, wellness centers can open till 8 pm with prior appointment.

 

Hotel Association has welcomed the decision of PMC. “The hospitality and restaurant industry has suffered huge losses in the past 16 months and this order to relax the timings of operations comes as a huge relief”, said Ganesh Shetty, President, Pune Restaurant and Hoteliers Association.
